Three keynote addresses will be given at the 11th annual Midwest Swine Nutrition Conference. The first will be "The Future of the Pork Industry: Challenges and Opportunities"; these are tumultuous economic times for every entity associated with pork production and it will be interesting to hear this perspective. The second will be "Antibiotic Update and Perspective"; these tools of production are under continued pressure. The third will be "Considerations in the Aggressive Use of Coproducts for Swine Feeding"; this seems like the perfect topic for the current formulation pressures we face. Other timely and important topics include the effects of DDGS on pork quality, perspectives on zinc nutrition and the expression of phosporus needs, fetal nutrient deposition, and a view into our role in feeding an ever growing world population.
The conference will be held September 8 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Buildin, Indianapolis.
